Advisor Star, Inc. offers a system by which financial service professionals, all of whom are not equal, are judged on their experience, knowledge, education and skill level.

The Advisor Star, Inc. rating system allows every individual and business owner to review and compare the qualifications of each rated financial service professional. An Advisor Star Rating (ASR) is designed to assist consumers to make better and more informed decisions when choosing which financial service professional to work with.

To provide an accurate evaluation, Advisor Star, Inc. has a proprietary system for rating different categories of financial service professionals. Financial service professionals, be they CPAs, financial planners, stockbrokers, insurance agents, attorneys or investment advisors, have the opportunity to pay an evaluation fee and apply for an Advisor Star Rating. Advisors are then required to complete a comprehensive questionnaire that provides confidential and verifiable information about their background, education, knowledge, licenses, services and skills.

Following receipt of a financial service professional's questionnaire, an independent group of research professionals conducts a comprehensive personal interview with the applicant. This is followed by a thorough examination of the information contained in the applicant's questionnaire. All of the facts contained in the application are reviewed and verified for accuracy.

The Advisor Star, Inc. research staff consists of a team of professional researchers and is guided by the Advisor Star, Inc. Advisory Board. The Advisor Star, Inc. Advisory Board is made up of nationally respected professionals from across the nation from various financial service disciplines.

Following this application process the financial service professional receives a rating of up to 5-stars. The overall rating is based on the financial service professional's ability to provide a wide variety of financial advisory services to a diverse client base.
